In his welcome address, the Rector, Professor Gerasimos Siasos, said, among other things:
‘The School of Law’s strong presence in leading competitions organised by international bodies goes well beyond participation. Moot courts offer a demanding academic experience that calls for thorough preparation, sustained effort and a genuine commitment to the study of law. Every year, distinguished members of the School of Law work closely with our teams, alongside students who have competed in previous editions. This continuity is particularly valuable. Knowledge and experience are shared not only between academic staff and students, but also between successive generations of students. In this way, the School of Law has built a strong tradition of participation, collaboration and academic excellence.
On behalf of the University authorities, I would like to congratulate all our students, particularly the distinguished members of the School of Law who, alongside their teaching, research and other academic responsibilities, devote their time and expertise to supporting our teams. Their commitment provides our students with invaluable guidance and contributes to the University’s continued development, international engagement and academic advancement.
The dedication of the School of Law’s staff and students to academic excellence is a source of great pride for the University. It also supports our wider efforts as a public higher education institution to engage successfully with the opportunities and challenges of an increasingly international academic environment.’
