From January 19 to 22, 2026, the University of Athens – Cyprus Branch brought a taste of university life to high schools across Cyprus. Targeting final-year students in the Economics stream, the sessions showcased the School of Economics and Political Sciences’ three Departments — Economics, Business Administration, and Port Management & Shipping — giving students a firsthand look at the pathways available at the Cyprus Branch.
Taking the stage were: Professor Nikolaos Eriotis, Dean of the School of Economics and Political Sciences; Professor George Dotsis, Chair of the Department of Economics; Professor Stelios Kotsios, former Chair of the Department of Economics; and Assistant Professor Lykourgos Kourkouvelas of the Department of Port Management and Shipping.

During the sessions, students discovered what the University of Athens – Cyprus Branch has to offer. Presentations explored the three departments’ academic programmes, highlighted career prospects, and introduced on-site facilities. Emphasis was placed on how these programmes connect with the labour market and open exciting opportunities for academic and personal growth. Students and teachers responded enthusiastically, sparking lively discussions and active engagement.
The team visited the following schools:
1. Forum Private School, Nicosia
2. Archbishop Makarios III Lyceum (Dasoupolis), Nicosia
3. Pascal Private School, Limassol
4. The American Academy Larnaca Private School
5. PallouriotissaLyceum, Nicosia

A big thank you to the school heads and teachers for their warm welcome and support throughout the visits.
