The Centre of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning (CCE/KEDIVIM)

The Centre of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning (CCE/KEDIVIM) of the University of Athens (UoA) aims at supporting the connection of the University with all people of science and culture and its interaction with the citizens, in a way that satisfies the existing needs of the society, advances equal access to education and knowledge and promotes the Greek culture and domestic economy. The Centre’s activities have various forms, which are determined by the corresponding social needs of the contemporary world, they connect the theoretical with the practical knowledge developing, mainly, the applied dimension of sciences to the respective professional fields.

Briefly, these actions concern:

  • Continuing Education of university graduates on the latest developments of science and specialized programmes into specific areas and applications of technology.
  • Development of distance education, which frees up time and space.
  • Summer schools and seminars on the latest developments of research, for the promotion of Greek culture and for the development of the local and domestic economy in general.
  • Series of structured lectures and seminars in the areas of science, arts and letters, addressed to the general population of adult citizens.
  • Actions that deal with contemporary illiteracy and actions addressed to socially vulnerable groups that promote social economy.

The scientific integrity of the Academics of the University of Athens, its experience in the organisation of educational programmes, as well as the excellent and state-of-the-art technical infrastructure of the University, guarantee the quality and trustworthiness of the provided educational services.
