The International Federation of Physical Education (FIEP) http://fiepeurope.eu/ just completed its 30th FIEP World Congress, and the 14th FIEP European Congress (27-29 June) in Barcelona, Spain under the theme: "SPORT AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SCENIC ARTS AS TOOLS OF SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION." As regards the young researchers awards for the best study and presentation, 1st place was awarded to our student Anastasios-Paraskevas Damiris, who received the FIEP New Leaders award for his study and presentation titled "Physical literacy of children participating in different sports", which was a topic examined in his bachelor thesis, prepared in collaboration with another student Eleni Selemidi, under the supervision of Asst. Professor Fotini Venetsanou of the School of Physical Education and Sport Science, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
