Assistant Professor Vana Sypsa assumed the position of Vice President of the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB) for the years 2017-2018. V. Sypsa is Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine in the Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics (School of Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). She has served as Secretary of the Society during 2013-2016. The Society was founded in 1978 to stimulate research into the principles and methodology used in the design and analysis of clinical research and to increase the relevance of statistical theory to the real world of clinical medicine. Today, ISCB has approximately 1200 members from all over the world.
