Athens Law Professor Elina Moustaira Participates in International Congress on Comparative and Constitutional Law ‘Cuba CON-PARA’

From 3 to 6 February 2026, Havana, Cuba, hosted the International Congress on Comparative and Constitutional Law ‘Cuba CON-PARA’ (https://cubaconpara.com/es/).

Organised by the Faculty of Law of the University of Havana, Cuba CON-PARA took place at the historic Hotel Nacional, with the support of prominent academic associations from across Europe and Latin America. The event was the second in the series, following the inaugural congress held two years earlier.

The conference programme was developed following an international call for papers and featured presentations by scholars from a wide range of countries, including Italy, Cuba, Hungary, Poland, Spain, Türkiye, Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico, Tunisia, Angola, and Greece.

Among the participants was Professor Elina Moustaira of the School of Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, who presented a paper titled:

‘The Importance of Cryptotypes for Reaching Realistic Conclusions about the Identity of Rights’.

Cuba CON-PARA was widely regarded as exceptionally well organised and highly successful, and it was an honour to contribute to its programme.

The third International Congress on Comparative and Constitutional Law is scheduled to take place in Havana in 2028. The event will coincide with the 300th anniversary of the founding of the University of Havana, a milestone of particular significance for Cuba. Professor Moustaira has already been invited by the organisers to participate and has gladly accepted the invitation.
