Professor Yannis Smaragdakis (https://yanniss.github.io/) of the Dept. of Informatics and Telecommunications is one of 5 Greek researchers that have just been awarded prestigious grants from the European Research Council (ERC) under the scheme «Proof of Concept Grants» (https://erc.europa.eu/news/proof-of-concept-erc-2017). The grant of Prof. Smaragdakis is called «PARSe Program Analysis and Reorganization, as a Service» and is a continuation of his grant «SPADE: Sophisticated Program Analysis, Declaratively» also funded by ERC. The ERC scheme «Proof of Concept Grants» helps ERC grantees investigate business opportunities, establish intellectual property rights or conduct technical validation for their frontier research findings.
