Professor Gerassimos D. Pagratis of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Department of Italian Language and Literature) has been elected Visiting Professor at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris, following a decision by the institution’s Academic Assembly. During his stay, he will be based at the Centre de recherches historiques (CRH), a research laboratory jointly affiliated with EHESS and the CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique), with Professor Mathieu Arnoux as academic host.
As part of this invitation, Professor Pagratis will deliver a series of four seminars and will participate in the research and teaching activities of the institution.
The invitation forms part of the broader collaboration between the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and EHESS.
Founded in 1949 by Fernand Braudel, CRH is one of the most important international centres for historical research, promoting interdisciplinary approaches and international collaboration in the field of historical studies.
