ELECTION OF PROF. GIORGOS DIALLINA AS MEMBER OF THE EUROPEAN MOLECULAR BIOLOGY ORGANIZATION

Election of Prof. Giorgos Diallina as member of the  European Molecular Biology Organization

On May 14th 2018, the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) announced the names of 62 outstanding life scientists who have been elected to its membership, joining a group of more than 1800 of the best researchers in Europe and around the world.

Professor George Diallinas of the Department of Biology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is among the elected members.

EMBO is an organization of leading researchers that promotes excellence in the life sciences. The major goals of the organization are to support talented researchers at all stages of their careers, stimulate the exchange of scientific information, and help build a European research environment where scientists can achieve their best work.

EMBO supports some of the best researchers in Europe and around the world and thus serves Europe’s life science community.

Prof. George Diallinas is the 16th member of Greece in EMBO and the second member from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
