As the Cyprus Branch prepares to launch its first undergraduate programmes in Economics and Business Administration in September 2026, the University is enhancing its links with leading businesses and professional organisations across Cyprus.
Professor Nikolaos Eriotis, Dean of the School of Economics and Political Science, and Professor George Dotsis, Chair of the Department of Economics, met with senior representatives from major organisations to discuss potential areas of collaboration.
The meetings focused on deepening the School’s links with the labour market and creating valuable opportunities for students enrolled in its academic programmes. Discussions covered potential support for scholarships, internships, part-time and full-time employment pathways for students and graduates, joint educational initiatives and collaboration in research and professional training.
As part of this initiative, meetings were held with representatives of Deloitte Cyprus, Grant Thornton Cyprus, EY Cyprus, Baker Tilly Cyprus, KPMG Cyprus, ACCA and ICAEW.
The meetings reflected the strong interest of businesses and professional organisations in collaborating with the University, as well as a shared commitment to developing initiatives that enhance students’ career prospects and strengthen their links with the labour market.
These initiatives further strengthen the University’s international presence while fostering closer links between academia and industry.
The School of Economics and Political Science at the Cyprus Branch remains committed to building strong partnerships with the business community and professional organisations.
