On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Prof. M.A. Dimopoulos, Rector of the University of Athens, had a meeting with Perry N. Halkitis, Dean and Professor of Urban-Global Public Health and Biostatistics at the Rutgers School of Public Health; he also holds an appointment at RWJ Medical School, Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA. The meeting was attended by Mrs Maria Kantzanou, Ass. Professor of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, who cooperates scientifically with Dean Halkitis. The subject of the meeting was the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two Universities, which involves the exchange of human resources (students and faculty) and the development of multidisciplinary research and teaching actions. Working together the scholars for the two universities seek to conduct work that will enhance the health and well being of the Greek population.
